Andrew
Anderson
Born in Niles, Michigan, Andrew displayed an early interest
in music. When he took piano lessons as a boy, he was diligent
in practice and reached a level of proficiency which he honed
with further lessons while in college.
Andrew also took voice lessons from Bernard Kwiram, a student
of Tom Blaylock, founder of the Northwest Institute of Voice in
Portland, Oregon. He was a member of the Fountainview
Chorale under the direction of Bernard Kwiram. He was also
a member of Andrews University U-Singers and Walla Walla College
I-Cantori.
He found a kindred spirit in
Rebeca
Gonzales de la Fuente, and now the musical couple both offer
music lessons.
His continued interest in music and craftsmanship eventually
led to an interest in piano maintenance and repair. Among other
things, he wanted to be able to maintain the family piano to his
satisfaction.
Andrew is certified by the American School of Piano Tuning of
Morgan
Hill, California, for completing the course in Piano Tuning and
Repair. He is continuing his education as an associate member of
the Piano Technician's Guild®. He will be pleased to
keep your piano in top performance
condition.
